G-Technology Group focuses on design and production of devices increasing mobility independence for blind and visually impaired people by helping them safely navigate around obstacles in their path of travel. We are a veteran-owned small business, and we are registered with SAM (see our Vendor Information Form).
SONAR GUIDE alerts the wheelchair and walker users to curbs, step-ups, and other potential hazards in their path of travel. When a change in elevation is detected the alert LED will turn RED and a high frequency beep tone will be heard. Obstacles are detected in the user’s path of travel, below waist level, at a distance of 15 feet from the sensor, yet not outside of the width of the walker.

SONAR GLASSES increase mobility independence for blind and visually impaired people by helping them safely navigate around obstacles in their path of travel.
They are a LOW VISION AID. The wrap-around design REDUCES LIGHT and GLARE from the top, bottom, and sides.
SONAR GLASSES will alert the user about potential hazards that are beyond the reach of a white cane, such as parked vehicles, overhanging branches, street and traffic signs, construction scaffolding, and other pavement obstacles.
SONAR GLASSES complement the white cane or guide dog by:
providing information about the location of nearby objects above waist level
alerting you to potential hazards
helping to guide your path through streets, parking lots, shopping malls, subways, yards, and tight spaces in your home
SONAR technology is based on echolocation, similar to the way bats navigate in the dark. The devices emit sound waves, and measure the time to receive sound reflected by objects in your path of travel. When an object is detected, you are alerted by a sound, or in case of glasses a subtle vibration in the temple.
